Susana Araújo works at the University of Coimbra and is a researcher at the Centre for Comparative Studies, University of Lisbon. She received her PhD from the Unversity of Sussex (UK) in 2004.
At the Centre for Comparative Studies, she coordinates the Project CILM – City and (In)security in Literature and the Media and is the co-coordinator of the project Poesia de Agora: Práticas e Passagens. She was the coordinator of the research group LOCUS from 2009 to 2019.
Her areas of research include: Literature, Culture, Politics; Fiction and Visual Culture; Fictions of the War on Terror and 9/11; (In)security, City and the Polis; Home(lands) in Comparison.
