Ortwin de Graef is Full Professor at the Faculty of Arts of the KULeuven. His main research topics include: ethics, history and determinism in the Post-Romantic condition (theoretically informed post-hermeneutic interpretations of modern English-language literature), aesthetic ideology and the ideology of sympathy, figurations of the State in 19th- and 20th-century discourse, trauma theory, the legacies of post-structuralism, spectrum disordre & neuroideology.
