Manuela Carvalho is Guest Senior Lecturer at the School of Arts and Humanities, University of Lisbon. She got her PhD at the University of Birmingham in 2001.

She is the principal investigator of the Projects TETRA – Theatre and Translation and Off-Off-Lisbon: Alternative Urban Narratives.

Her research and teaching interests lie mainly in the field of theatre translation and interarts studies.
