Clara Rowland is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Portuguese Studies at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where she teaches Brazilian Literature and Comparative Literature, and researcher of the Institute of Literature and Tradition Studies of the same University. She got her PhD in Comparative Studies at the University of Lisbon in 2009.
At the Centre for Comparative Studies, she coordinated the Project False Movement – Studies on Writing and Film.
Her main area of interest is Comparative Studies, focusing on issues of representation and materiality in modern literature and film.
