Aleksandra Stokowiec holds BA degrees in Cultural Studies (2014) and Art Criticism (2015) from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (Poland), and an MA degree in Comparative Studies (2017) from Jagiellonian University in Cracow (Poland).

She was admitted to the PhD-COMP in 2019/2020, as a scholarship holder (PD/BD/150453/2019). She is currently carrying out a research focused on the movable devices in books – namely: flaps, volvelles, and pop-ups – and their relation to textual practices of late-nineteenth and early-twentieth century, under the supervison of Professors Ângela Fernandes (University of Lisbon) and Jan Baetens (KULeuven).
