Dirk de Geest is Full Professor of Dutch literature and literary theory at the Faculty of Arts of the KULeuven, and current chair of the OLITH research group (Leuven-Groningen-Gent-Liège-Vienna). His main research topics are: Systems and fields theory in literature, Literary Historiography, Modern and Postmodern poetry, and Flemish and Dutch literature in a European perspective.
