Doris Wieser is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Comparative Studies of the University of Lisbon. She got her PhD in Ibero-romance Literature from the University of Göttingen in 2011.
At the Centre for Comparative Studies, she coordinates the projects Feminisms and sexual and gender dissidence in the Global South and National identities in dialogue: political and literary identity constructions in Portugal, Angola and Mozambique (1961-present).
Her research interests centre on Lusophone literatures, Latin American literatures, the crime novel, gender studies, memory studies, and the construction of identities.
