Vanessa Montesi

Vanessa Montesi holds a BA degree in Foreign Languages and Literature from the University of Bologna (2015) and an MA Degree in Translation Studies from the University of Sheffield (2016).

She entered PhD-Comp in 2017/2018, as an FCT doctoral scholarship student (PD/BD/135210/2017). Her research focuses on Western theatrical dance as a form of intermedial translation, and her work is supervised by Professors Claudia Fischer (University of Lisbon), Barbara Ivancic (University of Bologna) and Daniella de Aguiar (Universidade Federal de Uberlândia).

She is a member in training of the Centre for Comparative Studies (University of Lisbon), working with the research cluster P’ARTE: Pensar, Practicar, Partilhar, Perturbar, Provocar Arte.
